Wynnum Manly Seagulls
BMD has been the principal sponsor of the Wynnum Manly Seagulls Rugby League team for over 20 years. The club has close ties with our founder and Managing Director, Mick Power AM, who personally played for the team during his school years.
Part of the local team trained by Jim Lewis (father of Queensland and Australian representative great Wally Lewis), Mick played competitively in local competitions and was also a member of the unbeaten Colts premiership team (with Wally Lewis as their ball boy) in 1969.
The club has a loyal following amongst the community in which BMD had its humble beginnings and the Group is proud of its association with this highly regarded community based club and sporting team.
